今天早上六点就早早起床，和怡雯一起坐地铁赶去天安门广场看升旗。清晨的北京不是一般的冷，为了拍照而摘掉手套，不到一分钟双手就已经失去了知觉。天气预报说最低零下三度，不过一刮风，实际人体感受到的温度就要更低了。

Woke up at 6am today, went to watch the flag raising at Tian’anmen Square by subway. Morning is the coldest time of the day, my hands couldn’t feel a thing after I took them out of my gloves for 1 minute, that’s because I want to take photos. Temperature was reported as -3 degree C, but when there’s wind blowing, the actual temperature would be lower.

冬天看升旗有个好处，因为太阳升的晚，所以升旗也晚。（天安门广场的升旗时间和每天的太阳日出时间是一样的）今天的日出时间是7点23分，如果等到夏天，可能六点不到天就亮了。

There’s one thing good about watching flag raising in winter, you don’t need to wake up early. Every day’s flag raising is at the same time as the sun rise. It is 7:23 for today, but it can be earlier than 6am in the summer.
