Like I mentioned here, when I purchased my beloved Panasonic Lumix LX2 Digital Camera, I bought this pouch as well so to keep my camera well protected.  LX2’s lens protrudes out of the camera body even when not in use, that adds the thickness of the camera to almost 5cm. Hence most of the Lowepro Series doesn’t really fit.

I can’t say the NG 1152 is very value for money, it costed me SGD$35 (US$23) at Sim Lim Square (B&H - US$25), which is slightly higher than pouches of the same range. However, to some people the yellow rectangular logo just mean much more than other things. And I am one of those people, so I got it.

I like the material used for the bag, it’s like the colour of nature. Rough finishing adds a classic feeling to the bag.

Look inside the bag, there is a big main compartment for my camera, the inner material used is some I-hope-it’s-waterproof nylon. Two small ears at the side of the cover prevents small items from dropping out of the bag.

In fron of the main compartment is a small pocket, which, according to the display photo is for you to put gadgets like PDA. But I can hardly squeeze anything in after I put in my 5cm thick LX2. Hence if you need to carry a PDA together with your camera in this bag, choose a thinner camera.

Inside the front pocket there are two thin slots sewed to the outer of the main comparment, they are designed for memory cards. Kinda good idea, because a raw format photo taken by LX2 is 19.5Mb in size. I probably need 3 or 4 SD cards for a 3 day trip to Malaysia.

Behind the pouch there is a double velcroed belt loop, which I believe should be quite strong although yet to try it out. Normally I would just remove the adjustable shoulder strap and clip the pouch on my pants with a carabiner.

This pouch is obviously not rain-proof, neither does it come with any rain cover. I would suggest you carry a small zip-lock bag with you while going for outdoor trips, just in case.

Total rating for this pouch: 8.5/10
