		<description>It's not true.  The more effort you put in, the better it may turn out to be.  But there's a limit and it doesn't necessarily translate to a good mark.  

One's capabilities are measured in many ways, and some may not be directly or easily measured.  Being able to score well in exams - however stupid they may seem at times - does at least show that one's capable of acquiring certain type of knowledge, perform under certain kind of pressure and perhaps a little time management.  

It of course doesn't mean one's good enough if he's able to do well in school.  But a good record certainly looks better at first sight than a bad one.</description>
